There is an increased value to our communities when educators of a higher quality superintend over our schools. It directly results in a youth population that is better prepared and consistently successful. It stands to reason that schools are looking for these highly qualified individuals, with a projected 8% increase in job growth over the next decade.

In light of this information, and the fact that bachelor’s degrees are becoming more and more common, teachers and academic administrators need to attain a higher level of education to get a strong foothold for their own success. High School Seniors Scholarship

To show support for the success of our Seniors, the South Cobb Council PTA is happy to announce four (4) High School Seniors Scholarships in the amount of $750.00 each to be awarded 1 per the four high schools within SCC provided the high school is in Good Standings with the State.

The application deadline is Friday, April 27, 2018. To be eligible the Student must be a PTSA member and attach a copy of their card to the application. Please click links below for Instructions and application.

ALDI’s Action for Healthy Kids Grant

This message is being sent on behalf of the National PTA

National PTA is working with ALDI to offer a grant for through Action for Healthy Kids. Upon further reading the ALDI grant, we learned that title one schools would get priority as well as local units that are near an ALDI store. In looking at the store locations for ALDI, there are a number of stores in the Atlanta area. We encourage everyone to apply for this Grant. On their website is a recorded webinar to watch which would be helpful to see prior to filling out the application. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 13^th. We apologize for the short turn around time.
